Here it is, Thrive Visuals entry into the 2020 Fly Fishing Film Tour, “Common Thread”.
For the past few years Mike Lembke (owner of Wollaston Lake Lodge) and myself had shared a dream of entering a film in the Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) – While the lodge has some of the most incredible fishing around, we knew it needed more than a big fish to create a film that would be accepted into the tour. This is where Mary and her family came along. Through my 7 years guiding/filming at Wollaston I had created a special bond with a family that frequented Wollaston. Fly fishing has been a common thread that has bonded their family together over the years…and THAT was the story I wanted to tell. Fast forward to now, Thrive Visuals had the opportunity to produce our entry this summer and IT GOT ACCEPTED! Huge shoutout to everyone involved…the crew at Wollaston , The entire Austin/Pettigrew Family, and production crew Nik Enns (color/edit), Zack Saladino (videographer), Joel Ruby (videographer) , and our partners Orvis, Costa Del Mar Sunglasses, and Sask Tourism.
So thankful for everyone who made this project a reality, and an extra special thank you to the Austin/Pettigrew family that have been such wonderful friends over the years. This was a really special project for me and I hope you all love it as much as I do!
